I'm going to be in this show out in South Cali at the end of the month at the JFlynn Gallery. It's of holiday ornament-type objects for Christmas trees and stuff. Below is a sampling of what I came up with. They're drawings that I do on the subway of "fantasy women." I sort of wonder what people are thinking when they look over my shoulder and see me drawing these sessy ladies.
I did a bunch of sketches for the Indie Rock Universe assignment. I holed up in a the coffee shop on the first floor of my apartment building and drew all weekend long, filled up a sketchbook and a half, taking breaks to re-energize with espresso shots. Below are all the sketches I did for the planets, including ones that either didn't make it into the final or were cut.
I did this 4-page, gatefold illustration for the 40th Anniversary Issue of Rolling Stone Magazine recently. It’s only on stands for one more day. But you should be able to still flip through the sections of it on the Rolling Stone website here. And you can view a Frankenstien-style scan on the illustrations section of my website here. But it’s funny, I’m not a real big fan of Indie Rock. I like Heavy Metal, y’know? (devil sign).
